das-Nano & CIEMAT – New scientific publication on how to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic cells using graphene

Table of contents

Transparent electrodes based on graphene gives the title to the last scientific publication of CIEMAT (Center for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research) in collaboration with das-Nano, in the journal Nanotechnology and Advanced Material Science Research Open World.

This work shows the improvement in transparent conductive electrode (TCE) technology when graphene is incorporated, and so the enhancement of solar cell technology. das-Nano’s device Onyx has determined the TCE performance by analyzing its electrical properties, such as sheet resistance and conductivity.

The attractive results shown in this work suggest the possibility of improving the TCEs with the incorporation of graphene, favoring the absorption of photons. The most favorable structure has been determined, helping the photovoltaic sector to progress and generate the current more efficiently.

Congratulations to CIEMAT and our THz department! Let’s keep innovating!
